Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

The NV Assemblage Brut Tradition is a Pinot Meunier-dominated blend of the three main grape varieties (40% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay) in Champagne that were sourced south of Épernay and in the Vallée de la Marne. The base vintage is 2013, and the reserve wines account for 25%. Disgorged in October 2017 with a low dosage of five grams per liter.

Since 2005, Gilles, a graduate oenologist and winemaker has been in charge of the estate. Steeped in family traditions and trained under his father, he is now perpetuating the image and character of our champagnes. The family story has been going on for 120 years since the days when our ancestors lay the foundation stone of our Champagne House. Our vineyard lies in Cramant, in the heart of the Champagne region. The estate covers 8.30 hectares of vines. Our plots are cultivated on the terroirs of both the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.
Our dedication combined with the expertise handed down over the generations and a passion for the land, the vines and the craft of the vigneron give us control and perfect mastery over the cultivation of our vines and the harvesting of our grapes. Our land parcels being spread over a wide area require special care and ensure a great variety of character to our vines, offering a wide palette of aromas and flavours when it comes to blending our cuvées. This great variety enables us to maintain the style of Lancelot-Pienne champagnes. "Gilles Lancelot produces lean, light, bright and crisp, spring-like Champagnes of remarkable purity and freshness. The style…is perfectly dry, pure, very refined, straight and mineral. These are elegant, and rather lean and filigreed rather than big, mouth-filling Champagnes." By Stephan Reinhardt
