Return and Refund Policy

Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

100% Nebbiolo

The Gaja Barbaresco 2018 is a refined, medium to full-bodied Nebbiolo, showcasing vibrant aromas of red cherries, dried roses, and truffle, with hints of licorice, tobacco, and vanilla from oak aging. On the palate, it offers juicy red fruit, balanced by firm tannins and bright acidity, leading to a long, complex finish with lingering mineral and spice notes. While approachable now, this wine has excellent aging potential, developing deeper earthy and leathery flavors with time.

This 2018 vintage is still young but has 20+ years of aging potential. Over time, it will develop more earthy, leather, and dried floral notes while softening its tannins.

It's recommended to decant the wine for about 1 to 2 hours before serving. This allows it to open up and soften the tannins, enhancing the complex aromas and flavors.
