Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Château La Couspaude is a historic, family-owned estate located on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion. Owned by the Aubert family, the château cultivates a single 7-hectare vineyard planted mainly to Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon completing the blend. The estate emphasizes traditional methods, including manual harvesting, meticulous sorting, and ageing its wines for 18–22 months in new French oak barrels, stored in underground cellars beneath the property.

Known for producing richly textured, fruit-forward wines with notes of black fruit, spice, and elegant oak integration, Château La Couspaude embodies classic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé character, offering both early drinking pleasure and ageing potential.
