Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

A superbly crafted Rioja Gran Reserva, this 2016 release combines mature Tempranillo with a touch of Mazuelo, aged two years in both French and American oak and further refined in bottle. Layers of black cherry, plum, and fig unfold alongside hints of vanilla, tobacco, and cedar. The palate is plush yet precise, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a lingering, elegant finish—a benchmark for classic, long-lived Rioja.

A classic Gran Reserva from an excellent vintage, this wine is primarily Tempranillo, matured 24 months in a mix of French and American oak, then further aged in bottle for remarkable depth and finesse. The palate is silky and balanced, with integrated tannins, vibrant acidity, and complex layers of red and black fruit, earth, and sweet spice. The finish is long, harmonious, and elegant—capturing the essence of great Rioja.
