Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

100% Sauvignon Blanc

The wine that started it all. The first Oyster Bay. Which happened to win the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world. Its brilliant clarity, extraordinary aromatic flavours and refreshing zest are both thrilling and enthralling.

It all starts in our Marlborough vineyards, in the region famous for introducing elegant, cool climate New Zealand wines to the world. Marlborough's warm days and cool nights create an extended growing season allowing the grapes to develop strong, intense varietal characteristics whilst maintaining a balanced, crisp natural acidity. The result is a distinct wine that is always crisp, elegant, and refreshing. Uniquely Marlborough and undeniably Oyster Bay.

The 2025 vintage is sourced from vineyards across the Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley, from vines aged 5 to 27 years, harvested between 10 March and 10 April. The vines sit on prime central Wairau, Renwick, and Brancott soils — shallow, sandy loams over deep, free-draining river gravels that give low-to-moderate fertility and excellent drainage, the foundation of the wine's purity and intensity. Fruit was selected from progressively later-ripening blocks, beginning with the coastal vineyards, then gently pressed and clarified before a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, with a deliberately hands-off approach that skips oak and extended lees contact, letting the fruit's own varietal purity and regional character lead. The wine is bottled immediately after fermentation to capture all its fresh fruit flavours and aromas.

In the glass it shows notes of white grapefruit, pomelo, and lemon zest, layered with white pepper, lemon verbena, and freshly grated ginger.

Oyster Bay is a New Zealand wine producer founded by the family-owned Delegat company, best known for Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region — its very first vintage was named the top Sauvignon Blanc at a major international competition in 1991. Marlborough sits at the top of New Zealand's South Island and is one of the world's most distinctive cool-climate wine regions, having helped put New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc on the international map back in the 1980s.

Warm days and cool nights across the growing season let the grapes build intense varietal character while holding on to a crisp, balanced acidity — the signature Oyster Bay profile: elegant, refreshing, and true to its cool-climate origins.
