2018 Radio-Coteau 'Dierke' Pinot Noir

Radio-Coteau is a wine producer making single-vineyard wines from cool-climate coastal vineyards in Sonoma County and Anderson Valley.

Established in 2002, winety includes an estate vineyard in the hills above Occidental in the Sonoma Coast. In summer of 2012, Radio-Coteau acquired an historic 17ha Estate vineyard and ranch located on a ridgetop above the town of Occidental. Originally named Joseph Morelli & Sons before Prohibition, the Lemorel winery (as it was later known) dates back to 1892, when the first vines were planted. Situated 800 feet above sea level, the property is a diverse agroecosystem settled on prized Goldridge soil. It is this distinctive terroir that provides the platform for our non-interventionist winegrowing practices. Conservation and sustainability are core values, not just to protect these important ecosystems, but also to nurture and preserve the vitality of the farm. Radio-Coteau (rā’ dē ō – kō tō’) is an adjective. A French colloquial expression suggesting “word of mouth” and literal translation is broadcasting from the hillside which originated in Northern Rhone. Fine wine is grown in the vineyard, and the character is not only defined by the soil and the seasons, but also by the people who coax the story from the vines.
