Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

This cuvée is made up from different vineyard sectors within the appellation. Two thirds of the parcels are situated mid-slope, facing principally east, on shallow clay-limestone soils. The remaining third is of parcels situated at the entrance to the village, facing south, in soils that are a little deeper with more clay, therefore “warmer”. The bulk of these vines was planted mid-1980s.

Harvesting is entirely by hand. The grapes are transported in small crates then carefully sorted on arrival at the vat-house. Thereafter, they are totally destemmed and gravity-fed to vat, to maintain their integrity. After a pre-fermentation maceration for 5 to 6 days at 10°C, alcoholic fermentation starts off naturally at regulated temperature.

The Domaine Rollin has now been passed from father to son for the last four generations. Good ‘common sense’ is essential in the choices we make. At Domaine Rollin, this is why we think it important to work as cleanly, neatly and naturally as possible through all the stages of our production. In this process we are certified by Terravitis since 2015.

Soils are ploughed regularly to encourage deep rooting of the vines and ensure diversity of organic life forms. Finally, the essential ingredient is the attention paid to manual tasks carried out throughout the vegetative growth of the vine. They allow us to adapt yields to each parcel and above all to ensure good aeration amongst grape bunches, indispensable for the good health of the crop.
