Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

The 2008 Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque is a distinguished and luxurious champagne, exemplifying the finesse and craftsmanship of the Perrier-Jouët house. This vintage is part of the highly acclaimed Belle Epoque collection, recognized for its exquisite bottle adorned with the iconic anemone motif created by Art Nouveau artist Emile Gallé. The 2008 vintage stands out due to the exceptional climatic conditions that year, characterized by a cool yet sunny growing season, which resulted in grapes of outstanding quality with perfect balance and complexity. The blend is typically Chardonnay-centric, supplemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, sourced from the finest Grand Cru vineyards in the Champagne region. This composition lends the champagne its signature elegance and aromatic intensity.

In the glass, the 2008 Belle Epoque displays a delicate golden color, with a shimmering effervescence that speaks to its refinement and quality. The aroma is a captivating mix of white florals, ripe stone fruits, and a hint of toasted brioche, a testament to its aging and the expression of the Chardonnay grape. On tasting, it reveals a harmonious balance between the rich, creamy texture and vibrant acidity, offering layers of complex flavors including citrus, pear, and subtle nuances of nuts and honey. This vintage is particularly noted for its depth, structure, and the long, elegant finish. It is a champagne that not only reflects the unique terroir of its origin but also showcases the exceptional skill and tradition of the Perrier-Jouët house, making it a sought-after choice for connoisseurs and collectors alike.
