Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Beaune is the capital of Burgundy wines. The Pinot Noir delivers its letters of nobility in its places. Les Boucherottes is a Beaune Premier Cru vineyard in the Côte d'Or zone of Burgundy. Around eight different producers make red wine from Pinot Noir grapes grown in this 8.54 hectare site. Les Boucherottes is a walled site, sits on the very gentle lower slopes of the misleadingly named Montagne St-Désire. This beautiful plot, planted in 1966 and 1996. The terroir, warm and very early, is located in the south of the appellation on a slightly stony limestone brown soil. Grapes are harvested by hand, transported to our cellar, de-stemmed and put into vats. After a few days of cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation is traditionally carried out then comes the aging in French oak barrels for 18months, 35 percent of which are new barrels.

The Pillot origins date back to the 17th Century in Chassagne when our ancestors worked the vines with barrels. Fernand and his son Laurent, the 4th generation, extended the estate again in 1992, then in 2001 with the takeover of the Pothier-Rieusset vines in Pommard.

Today, we operate 14.8 ha of vines for a total of 22 appellations. The plots of vines are mainly concentrated in Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard, but also in the terroirs of Santeany, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay and Beaune.

All our wines are vinified and aged in our cellar in Chassagne-Montrachet, reconciling modern facilities, respect for traditions and our centuries-old terroirs. Our vines are worked in agrobiology with great care and the soils cultivated without the use of chemical herbicides.
