Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Château Les Merles is part of the reputable Vignobles Lajonie, a family-run estate since 1880, nestled on sun-drenched, south-facing vineyards in the Bergerac appellation just east of Bordeaux. Renowned for its meticulous vine-to-bottle viticulture, the château artfully crafts traditional Bordeaux-style blends—primarily Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc—that express the region’s clay–limestone terroir. The estate is celebrated for producing approachable yet elegantly structured wines that harmonize ripe fruit, subtle spice, and earthy notes, perfectly complementing hearty dishes like lamb, beef, and game .
