Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

The 2022 vintage in Burgundy was warm and generous, resulting in ripe and expressive fruit. Despite the richness of the fruit, the wine retains a fine tannic structure, balanced by fresh acidity. This village wine, from the renowned Lieu-dit “Vignes Belles”, is aged for 14–16 months in French oak barrels, with 20–30% new oak. The oak treatment is subtle, enhancing the wine’s purity without overpowering its natural character.

With a bright ruby color and hints of purple, this wine is pure and terroir-driven, showcasing the signature red fruit profile of Gevrey-Chambertin, along with mineral undertones. It is approachable in its youth, offering vibrant fruit, but it also has the potential to age gracefully for 8–12 years, developing further complexity.
