Corked Wines
While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

100% Pinot Noir
Domaine Armand Heitz Volnay 1er Cru “Santenots” 2019 is a beautifully crafted wine from the Premier Cru “Santenots” vineyard, located just south of Volnay and bordering Meursault in the renowned Côte de Beaune. This vineyard is celebrated for producing wines that combine finesse and delicacy, despite the power of the fruit, resulting in wines with exceptional balance and elegance.
The 2019 vintage was warm yet balanced, producing ripe tannins and bold fruit, but always maintaining the classic structure and depth that Burgundy is known for. The wine has a lively, medium ruby color, indicative of its freshness and youth. Aged for 12–16 months in French oak (with 20-30% new oak), the aging process is subtle, allowing the purity of the site to shine through without overt oak influence.
Domaine Armand Heitz Volnay 1er Cru “Santenots” 2019 is refined, perfumed, and impeccably balanced, showcasing a stunning aromatic depth. It offers excellent early-drinking potential, with its silky texture, floral notes, and precise structure. However, it also has the capacity to age gracefully for 10–15 years, evolving in complexity and nuance as time passes. This wine is a true reflection of Volnay’s elegance, with the perfect balance of fruit and finesse.
