Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Pauillac is a well-regarded a commune and appellation on Bordeaux's Médoc peninsula. It is home to some of the world's most famous and expensive red wines, wines made predominantly from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety.

The Pauillac de Château du Latour is made primarily from young vines. About 20% new barrels are used in the vinification of the Pauillac but the precise proportion depends on the characteristics of the vintage. This generous, balanced wine is an excellent introduction to the family of wines produced by Château Latour.

Blends are of 52.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39.9% Merlot and 7.2% Petit Verdot for 2017 vintage Le Pauillac de Château Latour.

Château Latour is one of Bordeaux's and the world's most famous wine producers. It is situated in the southeast corner of the Pauillac commune on the border of Saint-Julien, in the Médoc region. Rated as a First Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, it has become one of the most sought-after and expensive wine producers on the planet, and produces powerfully structured Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines capable of lasting many decades. In 2012, together with upgrades in the cellar, decision was made to no longer sell the Château’s wines en primeur.

Nearly seventy people currently work at Château Latour. This is higher than the average figure per hectare for estates in the Médoc and is justified by the extremely meticulous care that is taken in the vineyard and during the maturing process. Many employees, who follow in the footsteps of their parents or grandparents, have been working with pride and devotion for many years at the property, enabling the enrichment and passing on of their precious knowledge.
