Return and Refund Policy

Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

Enjoy complimentary shipping for orders above $200. Otherwise, there is a minimal delivery charge of $4.99.

Ribera del Duero is a major wine region in Castilla y León, northern Spain. Its reputation is largely thanks to the high-quality of its red wines made mainly from Tempranillo grapes.

Grapes are planted on silt-loam soil at 780m elevation. Hand harvested from 8 October in 20kg boxes followed by manual selection of the grapes back in the cellar. Fermentation is in French oak barrels for 2 months then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels (75%) and bottled in May 2021.

Winery is owned by Grupo La Rioja Alta which was founded by five Riojan and Basque families in the Haro's Station District in 1890.

Bodegas Aster was conceived with enthusiasm, wisdom and patience. To find the most appropriate estate, La Rioja Alta sought both the counsel of the old growers in the area and the advice of professors of viticulture. On the 10th of July 1890, five families shared their passion for wine and founded La Rioja Alta, S.A. Our wines are the result of an exhaustive selection of our most exclusive grapes and a slow ageing process that provides them with elegance, complexity and sophistication. They are patiently settle in more than 30,000 American oak casks fashioned by our own coopers. We take great responsibility in making our wines using our own grapes. Wines with personality and wines with soul.
