Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Grapes for this wine grow in a temperate climate influenced by the sea where the Alps protects the region from the northern winds. Grapes were harvested during Second half of September.

The fermentation with selected yeasts is carried out at a constant and controlled temperature of 18°C, and is completed in 8/10 days. After a settling period, the oenologist selects a qualified coupage to create the base cuvee for the Sparkling Prosecco. The wine is then filtered and stored in steel vats; sugar and selected yeasts are added to prompt the secondary fermentation (Martinotti-Charmat method) at a controlled temperature of 14-15°C.
