Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Kellerei Terlan (also known as Cantina Terlano) is a leading wine producer in the German-speaking Italian region of Alto Adige – Sudtirol. The winery regarded as one of the very best cooperatives in Italy.

It was founded in 1893 and now has 143 member growers farming a total of 190 hectares (470 acres). The village of Terlano is located halfway between the regions two main towns, Merano and Bolzano, in a wide section of the Adige river valley.

Production is split 70-30 between white and red wine. The extensive portfolio includes wines from all of the major grape varieties grown in the region.
