Return and Refund Policy

Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

Enjoy complimentary shipping for orders above $200. Otherwise, there is a minimal delivery charge of $4.99.

The Chianti region is located in Tuscany, that romantic area of central Italy known for its sweeping landscapes, hot sun and its wealth of art and food history. Not to be confused that Chianti is a name of the region where the wine is made but from the grape which is Sangiovese.

Crono Chianti is made in traditional way. Foft pressing, five days of fermentation and maceration with skins at around 20°C for 10 days, with regular racking. Aged until March in temperature-controlled tanks, then aged in barrels for at least 12 months.  It can be called a 'Riserva' only after ageing in oaks for minimum two years and further aged in bottle.

Crono is a project wine under Botter Winery. In 1928 Carlo Botter and his wife Maria started a small sale of wines in bulk and in demijohns that became an entrepreneurial business model in the late post-war period when their sons Arnaldo and Enzo exported bottled wines beyond the national borders.

Botter is one of Italy's largest, family-owned wineries and has been producing and exporting wines for almost a century. Today one in every 35 bottles of Italian wine exported is produced by Botter which is managed by the family's third generation of vignerons. Botter is committed to organic and sustainable winemaking practices at many of its vineyards which are located in Puglia, Veneto and Friuli. The winery has won over 100 top international awards for its wines, most notably the gold medal Vinalies Internationales 2014, China Wine & Spirits Awards 2013, Concurs Mondial de Bruxelles 2010, Berliner wine Trophy 2013 and Mundus Vini 2013.
