While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin “La Princée” 2022 is a vibrant, high-precision white Burgundy from Domaine Hubert Lamy, widely regarded as one of the very finest growers in Saint-Aubin. Made by Olivier Lamy, this village cuvée blends fruit from multiple high-altitude parcels across the appellation, unified under the name “La Princée”, and crafted to highlight energy, minerality, and site transparency.

The 2022 vintage was warm and generous, producing riper fruit across Burgundy, yet Lamy’s elevated vineyards and early harvesting preserved freshness and a distinctive chalky drive. The vineyards sit on limestone-clay soils, farmed sustainably with near-organic practices and hand harvesting. The wine shows a pale gold colour with brilliant clarity and is aged 12–14 months in French oak, with just 5–10% new barrels, keeping oak influence minimal and focused on texture rather than toast.

On the palate, the wine is tense, linear, and mineral, delivering bright citrus notes, saline energy, and a distinctly “mountain” freshness. Often compared to Chassagne-Montrachet or Puligny-Montrachet in cut and precision—but with extra zest—Saint-Aubin La Princée 2022 is racy, pure, and irresistibly drinkable, offering outstanding clarity and excitement both now and over the next several years.
