Return and Refund Policy

Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

Enjoy complimentary shipping for orders above $200. Otherwise, there is a minimal delivery charge of $4.99.

70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara

Giacomo Montresor Amarone della Valpolicella Satinato DOCG Riserva 2011 is a mature, richly textured Amarone, offering the full opulence and velvety structure that define Riserva-level wines. Deep garnet with brick highlights, the bouquet exudes dried black cherry, fig, plum compote, and candied orange peel, layered with cocoa, espresso, pipe tobacco, leather, clove, and earthy spice. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with plush, rounded tannins, elevated alcohol, and complex flavors of black fruit preserve, fruitcake, dark chocolate, balsamic, and licorice. The finish is long, warming, and elegantly persistent, capturing the aged, seamless character only great Amarone Riserva acquires.

The long history of the Montresor family boasts illustrious ancestors, such as Count Claude de Montresor, adviser to the Duke of Orleans in 17th century France.

In the mid-1600s a branch of the family moved to Veneto near Lake Garda, an area known for the quality of its moraine lands, and there they found the right environment to continue to develop one of the main family businesses: viticulture.

In 1892 Giacomo Montresor gave life to the Cantine Giacomo Montresor. In 1946, After several years of refinements in the oenological field, the first Recioto Amaro della Valpolicella was born: the Rustego. An absolutely new wine for the time, the result of the withering that took place on the Corvina arelle.
