Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

To the west of Mâcon, in southern Burgundy, Pouilly-Fuissé produces wines which are famous worldwide and vineyard with Mediterranean characteristics. Pouilly and Fuissé are the names of two Mâconnais villages located at the foot of the famous rocks of Solutré and Vergisson. The appellation’s vineyards are located on steep little east-southeast-facing at altitudes of 820 to 984 feet. 100% of the wine is cask-matured (very little new wood is used – only 20%) with regular stirring of the lees while the two fermentations (alcoholic and malolactic) take place. This ageing ends after 12 months.

Jean-Claude Boisset is a wine producer based in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the northern part of Burgundy's Côte d'Or subregion. The estate comprises 40 hectares of vineyards, spanning premier cru climats from Gevrey-Chambertin to Morey-Saint-Denis, as well as grand cru vineyards including Charmes-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche.

The family-owned estate was established by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1961 within the walls of the historic Ursulines convent. To begin with, Boisset only bought and sold wines, but in 1964 he purchased his first vineyard plot in Gevrey-Chambertin.

The company grew rapidly over the next two decades. The winery embraces the philosophy devised by the Boisset family of the where the winemaker is as much engaged in the vineyards as in the cellars, building close partnerships with growers to achieve the highest quality in the vineyards.
