Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Château Langlais Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion 1999 is a beautifully mature Right Bank Bordeaux from Château Langlais, produced in the Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion AOC, a satellite appellation of Saint-Émilion known for its clay-limestone soils and Merlot-dominant blends. Wines from this area often capture the classic charm of Saint-Émilion with a softer, approachable style.

Now fully evolved with age, the wine displays a garnet core with a brick-orange rim, a hallmark of mature Bordeaux. Originally matured in traditional large barrels, it has developed graceful tertiary complexity over time.

On the palate, it is soft, savory, and elegant, showing mature notes of dried red fruits, leather, earth, and gentle spice, supported by mellow tannins and a smooth texture. This vintage is fully mature and ready to drink now, offering a classic, graceful example of aged Right Bank Bordeaux with refined, savory character.
