Corked Wines
While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Note: Branon is unusual for its high Merlot and Cabernet Franc—rare for the Left Bank.
The Château Branon Pessac-Léognan 2014 is a flagship cuvée from a small, family-run estate, with the esteemed Denis Dubourdieu consulting on the winemaking. Situated in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan region in Bordeaux, this wine hails from gravel-clay soils and vineyards that neighbor some of the region’s most celebrated châteaux, ensuring a distinctive, terroir-driven expression. With a small production of only around 6 hectares, the wine is a true rarity, crafted with meticulous care.
The 2014 vintage, a classic "Atlantic" Bordeaux, is marked by finesse and freshness, with a cooler growing season balanced by excellent late-season ripening. The wine reveals a deep ruby color with purple reflections, showcasing its depth and youthful vibrancy. Aged for 16-18 months in 100% new French oak barriques, the wine gains richness and complexity, with subtle toasted vanilla and spice notes that enhance its full-bodied structure.
This wine is plush, yet well-structured, with its evolving character showing tertiary notes starting to emerge. While the 2014 vintage is drinking beautifully now, it has aging potential of 10-15 years, allowing it to further develop its complexity and refine its elegant profile.
