Corked Wines
While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42 % Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Franc
The Pastourelle de Clerc Milon 2015 is a beautiful expression of the Pauillac region, crafted by the renowned Château Clerc Milon (Baron Philippe de Rothschild). A deep ruby hue with delicate hints of purple invites the eye, while the nose offers an elegant bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with subtle touches of licorice, pencil shavings, cedar, and cigar box, complemented by a hint of violet.
On the palate, this second wine of the estate is medium to full-bodied, boasting ripe, supple tannins that cradle juicy black fruits like cassis and plum, along with a hint of cocoa and gentle spice. Its refreshing acidity and touch of graphite minerality create a balance that is both inviting and sophisticated. The wine is accessible in its youth but has the potential to age gracefully for 5-8 years.
Matured primarily in French oak barrels for 10-12 months, the wine benefits from a careful use of one-year-old barrels to preserve fruit freshness, enhancing its bright, approachable style. Located just north of Pauillac, the vineyards sit beside the illustrious Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild estates, which contribute to the wine's signature Pauillac character, with an added edge from the higher Merlot content. A perfect introduction to the elegance of Pauillac, offering both immediate enjoyment and future potential.
