Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot

Château Montrose 2000 is a legendary Saint-Estèphe, exuding the power, depth, and elegance that define Bordeaux’s greatest vintages. The wine pours deep garnet with a fading ruby rim, and the bouquet is richly layered: blackcurrant, cassis, and ripe plum are interwoven with cedar, graphite, old leather, cigar box, and nuanced earthy undertones—classic Left Bank in full expression. The palate is full-bodied, structured, and still remarkably fresh, with polished yet gripping tannins and vibrant acidity driving flavors of dark fruit, tobacco, truffle, cocoa, and a long, mineral, savory finish. This Montrose is sublime, showcasing both the estate’s formidable concentration and its innate capacity for graceful, complex aging.

Château Montrose, a renowned Second Growth in Saint-Estèphe, was founded in 1815 and is now owned by the Bouygues family. Its 95-hectare vineyard lies on gravelly soils near the Gironde, planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Montrose is known for producing powerful, age-worthy wines with deep color and firm tannins, cementing its reputation as one of Bordeaux’s finest estates.
