Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Country: Italy

Region: Tuscany

Grape(s): Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc

Vintage: 2019

Type: Red Wine

Volume: 750ml

First vintage started in 1992 as a baby super Tuscan. For 2019 Giusto di Notri, grapes are composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

Grapes are grown in clay with pebble soil. Mid-slope, where Merlot is grown, there is a higher fraction of clay. Harvest is done by hand in small batches and mature for about 18 months in new and once-used French oak barriques. The wine is left to age for several months before release to market the following summer.

Azienda Agricola Tua Rita is located in Suvereto, a small medieval town in the Tuscan province of Livorno, sits Tua Rita, a super Tuscan powerhouse.

It all began in 1984, when Rita and Virgilio Bisti bought a small house in Val di Cornia. The house had a small vineyard, only a few hectares, just enough for the family to make their own homemade wine. Though the area normally produced Sangiovese, Rita and Virgilio decided to take it one step further, and, in 1988, planted their first Cabarnet and Merlot. They released their first vintage in 1992, and have had an amazing track record ever since: multiple highly-rated wines.

Tua Rita's "soul" wine has accompanied the winery since its inception and testifies, in its being, its philosophy: novelty, experimentation, innovation combined with respect for natural rhythms and love for the land of production. The most meditated fruit of the company is the harmony of the evolution of the taste of those who produce it, the acquired knowledge of the territory and the maturity of the vineyards from which it comes.
