Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Delivery and Shipping

Enjoy complimentary shipping for orders above $200. Otherwise, there is a minimal delivery charge of $4.99.

Saint-Joseph, in France's northern Rhône Valley, is comfortably the region's largest appellation in terms of geographical coverage. The appellation title covers both red wine made mainly from Syrah, and white wine made from Marsanne and Roussanne blended in varying proportions.

Grapes grow on decomposed granite soil of about 30 years old vines. Wine uses 100% whole clusters and it is long ageing potential to bring a beautiful aromatic structure. Small production of 17,000 bottles per annum. Aged for 18 months in 2 to 7 year old barrels.

Domaine François Villard is a well regarded French wine producer located in the northern Rhône. The estate’s first vines were planted in Condrieu in1989, and today the Domaine produces almost 30 different red and white wines from Rhône appellations including Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Peray and Cornas.

Referred to by Robert Parker as one of the “stars” of the Northern Rhone, François Villard came to winegrowing after a career in restaurants, where he moved from chef to sommelier, and went full time as a winegrower in 1991. My philosophy today is to produce authentic and balanced wines. My wines must be as representative as possible of their terroir, by optimizing the minerality as well as possible, which for me is the greatest freshness that one can imagine in a wine. “I am constantly looking for the right balance in my wines, systematically favoring finesse over strength.".
