Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Alongside Pomerol, Saint-Émilion is the biggest name in Bordeaux's so-called "Right Bank" zone at the northeastern end of the wine region. The village of Saint-Émilion is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated on the right bank of Bordeaux, the region of Saint-Émilion can boast of producing the most diverse range of styles, partly due to differences in soil types, from gravel to limestone to sand, but also thanks to production variations and winemakers looking to make their mark.

This wine has limited production of about 5400 bottles.

Located at the foot of Saint-Emilion, this 17-hectare property has a great view of the village. This castle is owned by The “Monlot” brand which is founded by Chinese superstar, Zhao Wei, who instantly fell in love with the beautiful terroir of this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and acquired the estate, hoping to share this great discovery with more people.

Its history began in the 17th century. Built on the land belonging to King Louis XIII, the residence was passed on to the Countess of Guerchy and her brother the Marquis de Beuvron, and became the Seigneury of Capet. It was then owned by the Taillade families in 1763, then Ichon 1803, who chose to name it “Mon lot”, which means “my lot”, from which it takes its current name. Since 1990, Bernard and Béatrice Rivals had been the owners of the premises.
